Eddie Poblete, former American missionary who worked with Midtown church between 1986 to 1992, will speak to the congregation on August 8. Earlier on August 7 (Saturday), brother Ed, as he is fondly called, will meet with the young people in the church’s assembly hall. Bokod, Benguet Last Sunday, July 18 Bernie Austria and Art Tacay went down to Poblacion Bokod and conducted the worship service over there. Members from barangays Bangao and Pito were present during the worship service. Bernie Austria taught the bible class and delivered the message while Art Tacay led the congregational singing. Last Wednesday, July 21 the following composed the mission team for Bokod and neighboring barangays: Jojo Ramos; Lemuel Glori; Efren Colcol., Shemer Sameon; Andy Bestre; Greg Kitma, Vangie Glori and Janice R. Po. Bayambang/Dagupan/Lingayen (Pangasinan) Michael Perreras of Calasiao, Pangasinan and a graduate of Center Point church “missionary program” and Danny Oliva taught seeker’s classes in Bayambang last Saturday, July 17. The students of Philippine Theological College in Bugallon, Pangasinan were in Bayambang last Friday, July 16. Let us “pray” that the Lord of harvest will bring forth reapers in fertile areas like Bayambang and others. Danny Oliva taught two adult bible classes last Sunday July 18 - one in Dagupan City (morning assembly); one in Lingayen (afternoon assembly). Vigan, Ilocos Sur Data gathered from Roly Nonog revealed that many seeker’s classes are being conducted over there. Shemer Sameon gave “seeker’s lessons” series to Roly Nonog and companions. Christian Daniel R. Espinosa, only son of Noel and Henrietta (Cot) Espinosa was baptized into Christ last July 4 in Pasir Panjang, Singapore by his own father. CD Espinosa was taught here at Midtown church by brothers Arnan A. Bayla, Andy Bestre and others before he went to Singapore. The congregation rejoices and welcomes CD Espinosa for putting on Christ in his young life. - /07-26-2010

Brother Santiago (Dodoy) B. Sameon still needs the prayers of the congregation. News received by the MI board of editors revealed that brother Sameon was temporarily out of the hospital and was brought to his hometown in Negros Occidental. But his condition did not improve so he was brought back to the Siliman University hospital. The men of the congregation approved the motion that a special collection will be made in behalf of brother Sameon today and next Sunday. - /04-18-2010
