THE HISTORY OF NEGROS EVANGELISM SUMMER CAMPAIGN (NESC)

From 1966 to June of 1985, we had been engaged in the labors of Negros island, which was our base of missions. In response to invitation, we moved to Baguio in 1985 to Help Philippine Bible College which was short of instructors at the time. On account of my absence in Negros during the school semesters, the need for annual visits to the Negros island became imperative, so much so that a systematic program of evangelism was contemplated, hence the NESC (Negros Evangelism Summer Campaigns) was commenced in 1986 that resulted in 29 baptisms for the remission of sins. The succeeding years respectively yielded 17 in 1967; 16 in 1988; 33 in 1989; 12 in 1990; 44 in 1991; 84 in 1992; 33 in 1993; 55 in 1994; 56 in 1995; 36 in 1996; 61 in 1997; 109 in 1998; 75 in 1999; 67 in 2000; 103 in 2001; 83 in 2002; 23 in 2003; 38 in 2004; 77 in 2005; 145 in 2006; 174 in 2007; 145 in 2008; 211 in 2009; 51 in 2010 and 85 in 2011, but still ongoing until the year ends.
